My paintings explore beauty in its most fleeting forms — the shifting colors of the sky, reflections of light, and the quiet moments in between. At the root of my practice, I seek to bring beauty, light and hope to my paintings and the spaces they inhabit.

I work in layers of paint and mixed media and incorporate playful brushstrokes, creating intriguing textures and whimsical compositions. 

Motherhood has deepened my awareness of impermanence. The ever changing stages of childhood and the experience of motherhood are integral to my work. 

Influenced by Abstract Expressionism and the Color Field movement, I work fluidly across acrylic, oil, and mixed media. My process begins with playful studies of color and material, which evolve into larger works layered with memory, light, and emotion. 

At its core, my practice seeks to capture what cannot be held and the human emotion that comes with experiencing life and beauty around us. 

Elle Aiche is a Chicago-based contemporary artist who works in acrylic, oil, and mixed media. Since beginning her professional practice in 2017, her original paintings and fine art prints have entered private collections worldwide, and her work has garnered a devoted national following.

Aiche’s paintings explore beauty in its most fleeting forms — shifting skies, atmospheric light, and moments of stillness. Blending abstract and impressionistic elements, her work is minimal yet expressive, balancing serenity with an underlying energy.

Through layered paint and intuitive mark-making, Aiche creates textured compositions punctuated by subtle moments of color. Her work is designed to exist in dialogue with its environment, creating a sense of calm, balance, and emotional resonance within interior spaces.
