My work seeks to reflect the transient nature of beauty, which I am often inspired by — the subtle changes of color as the skies and atmosphere shift, the gentle reflection of water on a lake, a wisp of a cloud. At the root of my practice, I seek to bring beauty, light and hope to my paintings and the spaces they inhabit. Motherhood has deepened my awareness of impermanence, which is a recurring theme that is central to my work.

I work in layers of paint and mixed media and incorporate playful brushstrokes, creating intriguing textures and whimsical compositions. Influenced by Abstract Expressionism and the Color Field movement, I work fluidly across acrylic, oil, and mixed media. My process begins with playful studies of color and material, which evolve into larger works layered with memory, light, and emotion. 

At its core, my practice seeks to capture what cannot be held and the human emotion that comes with experiencing life and beauty around us.
